Make your appoinment first!!!

“I will not make any fixed meeting each week, you all have to make appointment a week before coming to my office”. Hahh, there you go!! My new supervisor, bravo bravo!!!! I asked him ” Sir, why can’t we have fixed weekly appointment, isn’t that easier? We can forward the problems of our FYP even faster to you.” “Oh for you information, I’m only free on Tuesday at 4pm, but not necessarily I’ll be in the office.” “Goshh, he’s been busier than an associate professor, I thought!”

He flipped through our reports for a few minutes, then he commented something which I felt irrelevant to our FYP matters. “I wonder why the workload here is 3 times more than I used to have in MMU.” “Woww, what he’s trying to suggest to us now. I asked him, why did u say that, sir?” “Yela, dasyhat betui kat sini, kalau kat MMU takda laa lecturer kene prepare all exam papers in the early semester. Quizzes, Midterms and Finals all kene submit to dept. Pastu meeting lame plak tu, bukan ada ape2 sgt pun discuss”

We didn’t reply him, just ignored what he just said. Once we were out of his office, my friend said “Dah mcm tu, dtg mengajar sini buat hape! Pastu bukan main busy plak die, nak jumpa pun payah mcm Dean laa plak” I just smiled to my friend, feeling a bit lazy to add anything to her sentences…

I went into my car, and drove home. On the way back, my mind flew to some part of the globe. I felt that we had so much things in life that we complaint, but we never appreciate and feel grateful…
